Thirteen is a series of portraits documenting the transformation of adolescent girls.
At thirteen you’re having to adapt to sudden physical and emotional changes, and with this comes feelings of uncertainty & sensitivity. It’s also the time where you transform from girl to woman and the search for independence and identity begins.
The series is a creative collaboration between photographer and subject. In the hope to infuse the photographs with each subjects personal interpretations of the world.
These images were created for Australian comedian Jimmy James Eaton for his Melbourne Comedy Festival show, One Small Sketch for Man.
